As our business grows, we’re looking for a skilled Crane Service Engineer to join our team and keep our fleet in top condition.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Crane Service Engineer to maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of mobile and crawler cranes. Experience working on crane brands such as Liebherr, Tadano, Grove, Terex, or Demag would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and repair mobile cranes to ensure they are safe and operational.
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and scheduled servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Respond to breakdowns on-site and provide timely repairs to minimise downtime.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure cranes are ready for hire.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and other relevant safety regulations.
Requirements
- Experience as a crane engineer or heavy plant engineer
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with crane brands such as Liebherr, Tadano, Grove, Terex, or Demag (preferred)
- Ability to read technical schematics and diagnose faults
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence an advantage)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety
